Campers that attend Coach Lopez's Academy will receive nationally renowned coaching and intensive instruction with an emphasis on hard work, hustle and FUN.
"It's good for the kids and for increasing awarness of baseball in the community," Lopez said.
Players of all ages and skills are invited to attend the first of two five-day camps in July. The instructors and counselors will provide hands-on instruction to help campers learn the fundamentals and techniques of baseball.
The High School All-Star camp from July 21-25 is reserved for the top prep players in the nation to come and compete with the best while improving their skills.
"It is a great way for the players to get some great instruction," Lopez said. "It also gives us a chance to evaluate players and to let players see what a great place the University of Arizona is."
Coach Lopez, the Arizona coaching staff, and a select group of instructors will help develop the All-Star campers' talents and provide a stage for them to demonstrate their skills. Over the past seven years, 21 All-Star campers have been offered Division I scholarships to play for Coach Lopez.
